It is up to us to ensure that America’s hunting heritage is passed down to future generations. NRA's Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) helps do just that by offering hands-on hunting and outdoors training to young sportsmen and women.
Help the NRA build the next generation of hunters and bring the Youth Hunter Education Challenge to your community. Many clubs, groups, organizations and individuals across the country proudly host YHEC events each year. If you’d like to host an event in your community, all it takes is an appropriate location, an organizational skill or two, and the ability to obtain a resource of volunteers to help conduct the event.
The NRA provides incentive subsidy payments to registered state YHEC events to support their development. Payments are based on the estimated number of participants as they appear on the submitted Event Request Form and in accordance with established rules of the incentive program ($10 per participant for local events/$15 per participant for state events).
*Note: The maximum subsidy payment is $1,500 for local events and $2,000 for State events.
